Oito horas atrás do volante de um ínibus, para pagar o aluguel da sua casa em Bangu, pagar a sua tv com o futebol e os filmes americanos que gostava, pagar a sua cerveja com os amigos no bar da esquina, sustentar a sua mulher, feia, meio descontrolada e relaxada, mas alguém para esquentar a sua cama, e sustentar os seus dois filhos, também feios e maus na escola, porém bons no futebol ” e era isso que importava, ele fora também a escola e de lá nada tirou para sua vida. Apesar de alguns dias achar que seus filhos ficavam muito na rua. Pensava que deveriam ficar em casa fazendo algo mais útil como limpar sapatos. Acabando o expediente ele já sabia o que lhe esperava. Era uma noite especial, naquele dia havia sido lançada a edição da playboy com a mulher melancia, e ele poderia foder ela ao fechar seus olhos enquanto penetrava a sua mulher feia e flácida. Ele sabia que essas mulheres da TV só mesmo em sua imaginação. Eram de outro mundo que não o dele, como muitas outras coisas ao seu redor. Como numa vez, que querendo ter outro papo com seus amigos além do futebol, se pois a tentar prestar atenção nas notícias. A parte com os números, a econímica, não viu porque deveria entender. Já a parte dos roubos e assassinatos era mais interessante, prendia mais a sua atenção. O Rio certamente era uma cidade violenta, nunca vira nada pessoalmente, mas a TV mostrava que era. Então, lá estava Vladimir atrás do volante, num ínibus vazio, atravessando a Avenida Nossa Senhora de Copacabana.
Sinal vermelho, parou o ínibus. Lá veio um homem correndo, cabeça e barba branca, sobretudo marrom, com o braço estendido fazendo sinal, ofegante, como se fugisse de algo. Chegando na porta do ínibus ainda parado, bateu no vidro e olhou para Vladimir. Vladimir só fez um sinal com a mão que não e apontou para trás, para o ponto do BRS3, dez metros atrás do sinal. “Como assim? Você mal saiu do ponto? O sinal abriu, Vladimir seguiu com o ínibus. No espelho retrovisor, ele podia ver o homem furioso na rua olhando para direção do ínibus. Quem esse almofadinha achava que era? Só porque era pobre tinha que ficar obedecendo o que qualquer granfino dizia? Para ele na verdade não fazia muita diferença. Mas o chefe disse, o que o chefe disse, e a ordem era não mais abrir fora do ponto, e só nos pontos marcados com o BRS3. E isso que ele fazia: obedecia ordens. Não ia arriscar o trabalho dele assim, ainda mais com uma câmera apontada na cara dele. Quem não podia estar vendo ele naquele momento?
Ainda olhando para o retrovisor, Vladimir viu quando o homem começara a correr para outra direção. Depois viu guando um grupo de outros homens, vestidos de forma estranha, com roupas rasgadas, carregando facões e correntes, vieram correndo atrás dele. Eles alcançaram o velho e começaram a golpeá-lo, cortá-lo. O ínibus se distanciou demais, nada mais podia ver da carnificina que ficava para trás.
Não, não era sua culpa, só estava fazendo o que o chefe lhe mandou, mais nada. Será que deveria parar o ínibus e chamar a polícia? Não, já era tarde demais para aquele homem, e isso só lhe traria problemas. Mas também quem mandou ele não correr mais rápido para poder pegar o ínibus no ponto certo. Vladimir não queria pensar mais nisso, só o que importava agora era chegar em casa e a mulher melancia. Foi quando viu a distancia alguém fazendo sinal, mais uma vez fora do ponto BRS3. À claro, que iria passar direto. Porém, ao passar pela pessoa fazendo o sinal, pode reconhecer o mesmo velho do sobretudo com o braço estendido. Agora manchado todo de sangue, com o maxilar quase solto da cabeça e com um olhar frio, fixo, vermelho, para si. Deveria ser só um pesadelo, só podia ser. Não podia ser o mesmo homem. Era conseqí¼ência de ver muita TV, só podia ser! Porém, mais uma vez, mais a frente, lá estava o velho mais uma vez a lhe fazer sinal. Dessa vez pode o notar com mais detalhes, o rasgo no seu peito, o sangue vazando. Vladimir passou lentamente, tentando se provar que tudo não passava de uma alucinação. Mas nada mudava, aquela mesma imagem cadavérica ali se mantinha, com o olhar fixo sobre ele.
Desesperado e acelerando o ínibus, Vladimir olhava para os lados, tentando procurar alguém na rua que pudesse entrar no ínibus e provar que não estava ficando maluco. Foi quando aconteceu, passando a Princesa Isabel e o túnel, chegando à frente do shooping Rio Sul, viu mais uma vez o velho fazendo sinal, mas dessa vez estava no ponto BRS3. Assustando, mas não vendo escapatória, já que a câmera estava na sua cara vendo todos os seus movimentos, parou o ínibus e abriu a porta. O velho entrou, passou o seu Riocard no visor e passou a roleta, deixando um rastro de sangue pelo caminho.
